Leed Accreditation - Green Building

OEG Building materials is a member of the US Green Building council. As members, we support the council in its efforts to preserve our environment and build sustainable residential and commercial structures while improving the overall effect these buildings have on the environment.

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) is an internationally recognized green building certification system providing third-party verification that a building was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving environmentally safe performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED® provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

When a contractor or builder uses products manufactured by OEG Building Materials it can contribute to LEED® points provided under the Material & Resources category. All of our products are produced from 100% steel with a high recycled content and can be recycled from the job site to earn additional LEED® credits for your project.
